WRINKLES TREATMENT

INTRODUCTION

THE SURGICAL INTERVENTION

BY INJECTION

Through this technique special substances are introduced into the wrinkle; these substances have a modeling role.
The collagen is introduced into the wrinkles by injecting it with a fine needle. A previous test is required, in order to avoid an allergic reaction. This intervention ensures an augmentation for about 3 - 6 months, after which the intervention must be repeated.
Your own fat, taken from several areas of your body ( abdomen, thighs) is also introduced into the wrinkle through a fine needle. The advantage of this procedure is the absence of the allergic reaction. The results are also temporary.
Autologen is colagen taken from the patient, which is introduced into the wrinkles ; the results are longer; there are no allergic reactions.
SoftForm and Goretex are material which can not be absorbed; they very rarely have side effects; in case of infection they can be easily removed.
They are introduced into the wrinkle through a fine needle.
Normally the operation lasts about 1 hour, depending on the number of the wrinkles, on the type of the substance. The operation is done under local anesthesia.
The operation for wrinkles treatment does not require post operatory hospitalisation; the patient is able to leave home after the operation.

POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS

A few possible complications might occur: infection, haematoma, alergy to anaesthetic, cutanat distortions, superficial necroze. Follow your surgeon's medical advice in order to avoid possible complications.

POST SURGICAL EFFECTS

Immediately after the the operation the injected areas are swallen and have a modified colour. In time these reactions will dissappear, the facial skin becomes even, without wrinkles or other irregularities.

The scars resulted after the injection do not represent an unaesthetical aspect. In case of predisposition to hypertrophic and keloids scars, discuss this problem with your plastic surgeon.

The patient can take her daily and normal activity in 2 or 3 days.

The wrinkle treatment consists of lifting the wrinkles to the surrounding level of the tegument, in order to realise a younger and more esthetical aspect of the face. This will make you more confident in yourself, because the new look is lovely to the eye

SPECIAL NOTES

Wash yourself well before the operation;
Eliminate from your treatment aspirin and medicines containing aspirin 2 weeks before operation.
Avoid to eat or drink anything, even water, after midnight before the operation;
Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks before the operation .
Wear your glasses, instead of your lenses.
Do not wear your make up, do not polish your nails; if you have polished your nails, wipe them off.
If you have a prosthesis let your anesthetist know about it;
On the day of the operation leave your jewels at home.
